"Apollo"

Apollo has been with me a year. He is a BIG BIRD!
He is just gorgeous. He has a sense of humor. He is interactive. He enjoys a head scratch sometimes, he loves loves loves baths. Outside with the hose on the shower or mist setting. He enjoys the aviary and loves to bat the ball around. He enjoys swinging, chewing and chewing and chewing. Did I mention that he likes chewing?

He has learned to step up and appreciates a pecan in exchange for his good dead. If he is playing with me sometimes he will look at me out of one eye and lean back and say "Rar, rar, rar!" like a pretend dog. So funny. He says his name, and calls me Bob. Whatever. So, one day I said to him, my name is JILL! You are Apollo. I am still waiting for his consideration of this matter.

My fear for him is that someone will want to dominate him and that absolutely will not work. He is a happy bird and I want to see him remain one. It will take someone with patience, some knowledge of positive reinforcement and appreciation for beauty and freedom.
